Short Description: In April 2008, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press and SAGE Publications filed suit in U.S. District Court against Georgia State University alleging copyright infringement over the university’s system of electronic course content. This presentation will examine the Georgia State University case and also cover other copyright issues in higher education with an emphasis on the fair use defense factors.


If you cannot attend in person, you can participate remotely through Elluminate. Please note that remote participation may affect CLE credit. Minnesota Board of Continuing Legal Education Rule
5(A)(5) states "Courses presented via video recording, simultaneous broadcast, teleconference, or audiotape may be approved provided that a faculty person is in attendance at all presentations, either in person or through live transmission, allowing all participants to hear and participate in the question and answer session."
